When a bank places a hold on a check, can they continue that after the check clears?
A bank can place a hold on funds from a check for up to 7 business days. What happens however if that check clears on the 2nd business day and the bank then bounces your check after the check clears during the 3rd through 7th day even though there were sufficient funds to pay the bounced checks?
