What should I expect after getting charged with a misdemeanor?

I have never been arrested before and me and my girlfriends finally got our first arrest. We were out shopping and I put a top in my purse, such a stupid mistake. The top only cost 30 bucks. Is this going to be on my record forever? Should I get an attorney?

If you get convicted it will be on your record forever. You do need an attorney prior to court and normally we can have the charge dismissed. We are happy to offer you a free initial consultation to talk about the case.
