What is the penalty for selling drugs to a minor?

Does the penalty for this kind of crime increase if the person that you sold drugs to was a minor? I had given the 17 year old next door some Vicodin after he had gotten into a car accident. He told me his doctor wouldn't give him any, only anti-inflammatory, and I had some left over from my knee surgery. I did not think it would be a big deal. His parents found out that he had them and notified police, who contacted me. I never sold them to him, I just gave them to him because he asked. He's much bigger than me and I was not worried about him overdosing or anything like that.
