What is the penalty for prescription fraud?

My wife, who had substance abuse problems over a decade ago, stole a prescription pad from the doctors office and attempted to write a prescription with it. She works there which is why she had access to the pad. What is going to happen to her?

Retain a good criminal lawyer as that is a serious felony and she will probably have to plead to the felony or a misdemeanor and get probation, drug counseling, and a fine or surcharge. Se could get up to 4 years on an E felony and up to 7 years on a D felony, but first offenders do nt get jail most of the time.
