What information is needed to request child support from someone?

So me and my fiance have fallen on some hard times. We have lost our jobs and the situation is that she has a kid from a one night stand who is now 6 months old. I have talked to her before about pursuing child support against the individual but she says its a helpless cause.
We have his email address that he used to talk to her through (now deleted).
We have a disconnected google voice number (she says it went to google voice mail when she spoke to him).
We have a name (but she thinks its fake after looking for him on FB).
That is it?
I keep telling her to go to child support agency but she says that they won't do anything without more information. Is this enough information to help find the guy? I don't blame her because protection was used but must have failed. The guy does not know he has a child as they broke up the planned FWB relationship before she informed him. Any help here? Anyone know if child support enforcement agency will help locate them or is that not even close to enough info? Thx everyone
