Not unless you fail to appear for court or they believe and charge it was possessed for sale. Any quantity no matter how small can be charged as possession for sale.

If you got an infraction ticket, it carries no jail time, but if you ignore it and let it go to warrant, you will face jail. You can go to court on it and try to get a deal from the prosecutor and judge, for payment schedule or community service.
