How do I find out who the true party of interest is when I’m being sued in small claims magistrate court for alleged debt?

A debt collector lawyer firm has sued me and say they are representing the Bank in this matter. However, the Bank has already charged off the debt on my credit report and previously sold this debt to another debt collector lawyer firm which was sending me letters to collect the same alleged debt. I must answer the claim by June 23rd 2014. How do I find out If this debt collector is truly representing the Bank or operating in their own interest?
