Do you need an attorney if you’ve been accused but not arrested for something?

I have been accused of rape, which is totally bogus. It was 100% consentual sex every time. The woman still texts me messages and wants to hang out. I'm scared police are going to show up at my work or home one day out of the blue because she'll go on these rants and say I raped her when I say I don't want to see her anymore. What should I do to protect myself?
