Can a minor be questioned by the police without a parent present?

Daughter who has consistently been running around with the wrong crowd got brought in for questioning. She didn't commit the crime but is associated with the people who did. She's only 15 and I am worried about what she might have said to the police. Because she is so young, are they allowed to question her without notifying me?

They are allowed to question her without her mother, especially IF she is running around with the wrong crowd without her mother.
