Can a felon have a gun in the house in New York?

I got convicted of a non-violent felony a while back. My cousin is livin with me and my girl. Hes not a bad guy but he has had some run ins with the cops. Police showed up at my place doing a search with a warrant for something my cousin did and found his gun. Am I going to get in trouble for his gun? Am I going to go back to jail for allowing that in my place?

You cannot own, possess, or even be in the same car or house as a gun if you are a convicted felon. If you are arrested you should retain a good lawyer as another felony in New York is mandatory prison time.

Get a good lawyer- there is a presumption that you had knowledge of the gun- but they still have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you did.
