Can the cops pull you over for no reason and search you?

I got pulled over for no reason at all at 8 oclock at night, and while I was pulled over the cop saw I had a pipe in my jacket pocket so they had me get out of the car and empty all my pockets and searched my car. Long story short I was booked on paraphanelia charges. Will the judge allow the search since they had no reason to pull me over in the first place?

The cops can do anything. However, if they pull you over for no reason-without probable cause-then any evidence they seize may be thrown out if you're attorney challenges the stop with a motion to suppress.
