On Tuesday, eight people were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of an Oklahoma woman during what is believed to be a Ku Klux Klan initiation. The woman was recruited to join the group over the internet; she traveled to Louisiana; however, when she asked to leave the campsite and go back to town, an argument broke out. The woman was fatally shot by the group’s leader.
According to CNN, the police found the woman’s body under some brush by the road, about 60 miles north of New Orleans. At the campsite, investigators found weapons, flags and six Klan robes. The leader of the Klan has been charged with second-degree murder.
