Police say a Cambridge man strapped an electronic dog collar around his common law wife’s neck and shocked her 20 times while interrogating her. He has been charged with third-degree kidnapping and domestic assault.
It’s not known what shocking information he was trying to get her to confess.
Sadly, the couple’s 2 year old daughter was locked in the car while the assault occurred. The windows were rolled up and temperatures outside were around 80 degrees. The little girl is fine but the man is also charged with child endangerment as a result of leaving her in the car.
The man who was arrested must have had a very busy day because police say he was also wanted on another domestic assault warrant in another county for a separate incident on the same day.
