Miss America Leads Child Sex Sting

Two New York men were arrested on suspicion of disseminating indecent material to minors on the internet, after Miss America scammed them. Twenty-year-old Lauren Nelson, working with Suffolk County, New York police officers pretended to be a 14-year girl and posted photographs of herself as a teenager online. She lured Michael Wasserman and Ronald Stahl to a meeting at her home.

Nelson’s meeting with the men was filmed by the show “America’s Most Wanted.” Eleven men were arrested at the home. Wasserman pled not guilty to dissemination of indecent materials. Stahl pled not guilt to both dissemination and attempted criminal sexual act.

Stahl’s attorney claimed his client was “fantasy role playing” online and never thought he was going to meet a minor. He complained that using Miss America was a publicity stunt. So?
