California Softball Coach Arrested for Giving Alcohol to Girls

A Salinas California softball coach was arrested on suspicion of providing alcohol to minors. Police officers were called to an apartment at about 2:45 am due to reports of drinking at a party that was getting out of control. When they arrived they found several teenage girls, members of the a Salinas “Bobby Sox” softball team intoxicated by liquor.

The teenagers told police their host and coach, Eralia Guisson, had provided the alcohol. Parents were called to pick up the girls, one teenage boy received a citation for violating his probation, and Guisson was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.

The Monterey County District Attorney’s Office is also investigating a school board member for providing alcohol to minors at a party in her home.
