NASA Astronaut Accused in Florida of Kidnapping Returns to Work for Navy

Former astronaut Lisa Nowak pled not guilty in an Orlando Florida court to charges that she tried to kidnap a fellow astronaut. She is accused of driving from Houston to Orlando, wearing a diaper to avoid bathroom breaks, and confronting Colleen Shipman. Shipman was apparently a romantic rival for the affections of a third astronaut, William Oefelein.

Nowak was fired by NASA after her arrest. She is out on bail and has been assigned to the Naval Air Training Command in Corpus Christi, Texas where she will develop flight lesson plans.
