Georgia Barbie Bandit’s Mother Says She’s Sorry

The mother of one of the Georgia girls dubbed the Barbie Bandits said her daughter isn’t a bandit, she just fell in with the wrong crowd and made a bad choice. Ashley Miller’s mother, Joy Miller, says her daughter is sorry for what she did.

Miller and Heather Johnston, 18 and 19 years old, were videotaped giggling through a bank robbery in upscale Acworth Georgia. Police also arrested a bank teller and another man in connection with the robbery, saying the theft appeared to be an inside job.

“I want (people) to know that her and Heather both are not bandits,” Joy Miller told ABC’s “Good Morning America. They’re little girls that made a bad choice.”

Apparently, the girls weren’t so much bank robbers, as poor actresses. If Miller’s argument works, I think I’d like to try it myself.

The girls remained in jail Monday. Miller has no bond set. Johnston’s bond is set at $26,000.
