Phil Spector’s Murder Trial to Begin on March 5

Music producer Phil Spector, best known for his innovative “Wall of Sound” technique, will go on trial for murder on March 5. Spector is accused of killing model Lana Clarkson in his home in 2003. Meanwhile, Ronnie Spector’s band, The Ronnettes, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month. Ronnie and Phil were divorced in 1974, and the band later sued him to recover profits from their recording and performing days. Reportedly, Spector had vetoed the band’s inclusion in the Hall of Fame in earlier years.
